How do I apply sunscreen with Klarina's All-in-One SPF Blender?
After removing the cap, press and release the button to dispense sunscreen through the blender. Sunscreen will dispense from any bottle position, including upright!
Note: new bottles will take a few extra presses to get going at first - this is a normal part of "priming" an airless pump.
Using the blender, apply sunscreen to skin. Try "dotting" it onto onto key areas (e.g., cheeks, nose) first.
Spread and blend into skin using circular or swiping motions. Repeat as needed until all desired areas are covered.
Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure and as needed.
How much sunscreen should I use/how many times do I push the button?
The amount will vary depending on the surface area. In general, two pumps of sunscreen is usually sufficient to cover a child's face. We recommend starting with 1 or 2 pumps and adding more as needed. Our blender makes it easy to build coverage without the mess!
How long will it last?
Every 2oz bottle of Klarina dispenses over 300 pumps (button pushes) worth of sunscreen. Two pumps is typically enough to cover a child's face, which means each bottle of Klarina will last you approximately 150 facial applications.
Can I use it on the body?
While our blender was primarily designed for precision application on faces and other contoured areas - you can absolutely use it on other small areas of the body. It's great for back of hands, ears, neck, and little shoulders and arms.
For full-body coverage on older children and adults, we recommend using a larger-format sunscreen alongside Klarina.
Can adults use it?
Yep! If using on the face, just keep in mind that makeup will rub off on the blender, leading to some discoloration. If you have facial hair, you may notice some white residue -- so just keep blending.
About the Blender
What are the blenders made of?
Our blenders are made from a cushiony soft and smooth latex-free foam. The NBR closed-cell foam is safe for use on all skin types and has been treated with an antimicrobial agent to resist the growth of bacteria. The foam is also hydrophobic - meaning it resists absorption of water and excess product.
How often should I replace my blender?
We recommend replacing your blender after each month of regular use for optimal hygiene. You may want replace it sooner depending on the amount of dirt/chocolate your child typically has on their face, and that's totally okay. Zero judgment from us.
Can I clean my blender?
Short answer - yes.
Wipe your blender with a clean, damp cloth to remove excess residue. For a deeper clean, you can remove the blender/mount from the bottle (see removal instructions below) and rinse it with water and mild soap. Leave the blender/mount out until fully dry.
For optimal hygiene/performance - and to make your life easier - we recommend simply replacing your used blender with a new one.
How do I replace it?
To remove your used blender, firmly squeeze the base of the blender and grip the internal plastic mount (don't be scared to use some force!) Then twist the mount/blender approximately 30 degrees to the left. Detach, replace, and twist to the right until you hear a click.

What sunscreen testing has been done on Klarina?
To ensure Klarina's Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Sheer Mineral Sunscreen is safe and effective, the following tests have been completed at an FDA regulated facility:
RIPT (Repeat Insult Patch Test): Sensitization test to assess the likelihood of allergic reactions and irritation to common ingredients.
FDA (Food and Drug Administration): US testing for SPF determination
Is Klarina a non-nano sunscreen?
Yes. Klarina is formulated with non-nano Zinc Oxide. “Non-nano” means the Zinc Oxide particles in Klarina’s mineral sunscreen are too large to be absorbed into the skin. Instead, they sit on the surface, where they can safely block harmful UVA and UVB rays.
Is it safe for babies and sensitive skin?
Yes! Klarina is a 100% mineral sunscreen with Zinc Oxide (17.5%) as the active ingredient for Broad Spectrum SPF 50 protection. Pediatricians and dermatologists recommend mineral sunscreens for babies and kids as it's the gentlest, safest option. Zinc Oxide acts as a physical blocker, sitting on top of the skin to reflect and scatter UV rays instead of being absorbed into the skin like chemical filters.
Our sunscreen is also hypoallergenic, dermatologist approved, and fragrance free.
What ingredients are in the formula?
In addition to Zinc Oxide (17.5%) as the active ingredient, our mineral SPF 50 sunscreen also includes significant levels of:
- Aloe Vera and Safflower Oil to soothe skin
- Coconut Oil and Shea Butter to moisturize
- Vitamin E, an antioxidant that reduces free radicals

Does it leave a white cast?
Like all pure mineral sunscreens, there’s a possibility of a slight white cast a Zinc Oxide is naturally white, and it works by sitting on top of the skin to reflect UV rays. That said, Klarina is formulated with sheer, non-nano zinc oxide — a high-quality, non-coated form that offers strong sun protection while reducing the thick, chalky look associated with cheaper mineral sunscreens.
By combining a sheer mineral formula with our built-in blender, Klarina applies sunscreen thoroughly with minimal to no visible residue.

How much does shipping cost?
Klarina is currently providing free shipping for orders over $50!
For orders under $50, shipping costs are calculated based on location and will vary slightly. For deliveries within the contiguous US you can typically expect to pay between $7 and $9 dollars per order.
When will I get my order?
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Delivery times vary by location, but most U.S. orders arrive within 3–4 business days after shipping. You’ll receive a tracking email as soon as your order is on its way.
Where are your products made?
Our products are assembled in the USA with globally sourced components. Our sunscreen is manufactured and tested at an FDA-regulated facility in the USA.
What's your return policy?
We want you to love Klarina — and if something’s not right, we’re here to help.
If your order arrives damaged or is missing something, please reach out within 7 days (with a photo, if possible) and we’ll make it right, whether that means a replacement or a refund.
